Hazardous Waste Collection in Hunter’s Creek this Saturday

Orange County Utilities Hosts Community Collection of Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste in Hunter’s Creek

ORANGE COUNTY – Orange County Utilities invites eligible Orange County residents* to its Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste Community Collection Event on Saturday, July 19, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hunter’s Creek Middle School located at 13400 Town Loop Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32837. Participants will have the opportunity to properly dispose of hazardous and electronic waste – free of charge.

The following items will be accepted:

Paint Pool chemicals Stereos
Cooking oil Vehicle batteries Televisions
Flammable liquids Drain cleaners Computers
Cleaning fluids Brake fluids & antifreeze Telephones
Pesticides Propane tanks (20-lb. max) DVD players

Participants are prohibited from bringing biologically active materials, radioactive materials, explosives, tires, or ammunition.

*Eligible participants include residents of unincorporated Orange County and the cities of Apopka, Ocoee, Orlando, Windermere, and Winter Garden only. Proof of residency is required.
